Does the Connected Home Adapter take power only from its USB connector?

The Connected Home Adapter has a micro USB input for power but I recall that it also has a 9V power output for power as well, unless you have an older model of the Connected Home Adapter.

That is not a Connected Home Adapter it is a DECA BB and there is an A/C brick version. Connected Home Adapters are powered by the receivers.
