Connecting a Vizio sound bar to my direct tv
I connected the hdmi cable to a Samsung smart tv plugged in the electric plug paired the Vizio sb to the audio from the remote setting. The power and volume responded from the direct tv remote but can’t get any sound from the bar. What step am I missing?

Typically you would connect as follows:
This way all audio from the TV, including the DirecTV Genie, should be available on the Soundbar.
