Channel blacked out in guide
I'm asking for someone else, as I don't have DirecTV. This is verbatim.

I have the Sports Pack, which is supposed to include FS2 (Channel 618). The channel works for me when I select it with my remote, but the channel is grayed out in the on-screen guide. If I try to set the DVR to record a future recording, I get an error that the channel is not part of my subscription.
I refreshed the Genie receiver through the website and I reset the Genie and HDDVR receivers with the red button. Same problem with both receivers.
At one point, I thought the channel was not part of the Sports Pack so I moved up from Choice to Ultimate and the channel was not grayed out and I could set the DVR. But then I realized it was part of the Sports Pack so I downgraded and now it's grayed out again.
I talked with tech support and they are useless, telling me to wait 24 hours for the guide to fully refresh. This is not a 24 hour problem. I spoke with a claims rep (kind of like advanced tech support) and she pushed the case to engine

This seems to me like a Directv issue. I have seen a few posts over the past few weeks complaining about this same issue. From what I have seen it seems to affect those who have added the sports pack to their packages. I am just wondering if this issue has anything to do with the launch of Directv's new $70 Sports Package.
