cannot control Sonos Arc soundbar with replacement Genie remote

Remote: RC73 (old) and RC73 (new)

My RC73 has lost some functions, so DTV sent a replacement RC73.

My old RC73 is programmed to adjust the sound from my Sonos Arc soundbar. I have spent an hour on the phone with DTV tech support, and we are unable to program the new remote to control the soundbar. The list of Sonos devices in the "Program Your Remote" menu does not include the Arc, and none of the codes for other Sonos products work.
