Camp dish setup help

I am trying to set up tv at our deer camp in a remote location.  I am using a H24 receiver and I believe it’s a slimline 3 receiver. I know the elevation and skew on the dish are correct for the area. I know my mounting pole is level. I plug in and get zero readings on the satellite setup.

potential issues I have identified:

1. is the coaxial from the satellite supposed to go to some power source before it goes into the receiver?  Mine does not

2. If I’m picking the incorrect satellite on the drop down list going to cause me to get zero readings when aiming the dish?  I’m unsure if I’m selecting the correct dish on this drop down.
3. there’s a tree about 50 yards away that could be in the direct line of the dish. Could that be the issue and I need to change my mounting location?

any help is appreciated.

Only a SWM LNB with only one coax connection needs a 21v power inserter.  You need to find the 101 to box it in then dither the 99/103.  There are phone apps or you can use the dishpointer.com website to see if the tree is in the way.

Thanks for the input. The other challenge is there is zero cell signal at this location. I can’t use the apps while on location.

how do I know if I have a SWM LNB dish?  It is one coax

There is only a slimline dish with a SWM LNB and it will have a green label that says SWM or a standard LNB.

What DVR/Receiver model are you using?

What type of satellite dish?
