Audio drop out

When watching a program I have recorded on my DVR there are frequent, recurring, audio drop outs. What can I do?

Hello @thehankster, we're sorry to hear that you're experiencing audio dropouts while watching a recorded program on your DVR. Let's try a few troubleshooting steps to fix this issue. Firstly, please check that all the cables connected to your DVR and TV are securely plugged in. If your cables are connected properly, try resetting your DVR by unplugging it from the power source for 10 seconds and then plugging it back in. We're sending you a PM to follow up and get it fixed together. William, DIRECTV Community Specialist

DVR model number?

How is the DVR connected to your TV? A/V Receiver?

I had some issues one time where the audio settings on the DVR had to be changed, it was the station messing up the audio.

Does it happen on every recording, or only recordings of the same channel?

It is a relatively new problem.. Things have worked just fine up till now... It doesn't matter which channel I am trying to watch.. Very weird that the issue now pops up. I haven't changed any cables or settings..

I tried the reset button on the DVR as well as unplugging for about 30 seconds with no help... I noticed that the problem is there for recorded shows as well as live... Just as bad.. No help

1. is your audio coming from the TV or a receiver

2. what is the connection between the DVR and the TV, how many cables?

3. if your audio is coming from a receiver, how have you hooked the audio between the DVR and the receiver?

I think that will help understand a bit more
