All local channels out

This morning all of my local channels immediate say there is a problem and offer to go to the streaming option. No other channels are having this problem. There is no weather issue and only light cloud cover.

What sat do the local channels use? I'm in the Toledo, Ohio area.

Will resetting my receiver resolve this?

The DIRECTV 99 satellite showing your channels is currently experiencing an outage. DIRECTV should get it resolved soon. In the meantime you can stream the channels on the DIRECTV app or if you have a Genie that is connected to the Internet, you can use the SignalSaver feature.

Resetting your receiver will not resolve the issue, it is currently a nationwide issue.

Thanks! I just wanted to make sure I didn't have an issue with my equipment.

Not a problem. This is quite odd for a satellite to be experiencing an outage as far as DIRECTV is concerned.

This is a very rare issue. Should be fixed soon.

What is the best place to look for information about DirecTv issue? I went to their check outages page, but it wanted me to go through resetting my receiver, which I did not want to do.

I am outside Austin, TX and we have been out all day. Signalsaver works. But cannot record or ff or pause. So if you watch something on tonight via DVR, watch it tomorrow on peacock, Hulu and paramount+. Anyone know when this is to be resolved?  Thanks

Soon as in what most people consider soon or Direct TV considers soon.

How many weeks is soon? That seems to be the amount of time it takes DTV to fix other problems.

18 hours and counting. I'll keep the clock running and submit a new definition to the Oxford Dictionary for Direct TV Soon.

@DanFlak

I could see this one taking awhile, satellite alignment issues with 99 requires all channels to be remapped to a different location. Let's just hope directv can come up with a quick resolution. Right now if I had to guess I'd assume directv can get this outage fixed within 72 hours.

@Tbuck

Perhaps. But I bet it would only be something like $5 or $10. It will depend on how long the outage lasts.
