771 error

We have replaced all of the parts in our direct tv system, cables, SWM, including dish a winegard traveling pro, but are still getting the 771 error. There is 20.6 volts coming from the SWM to the dish, but no voltage going to the IRD to the direct tv receiver, an H25 model. There is no splitter or other receivers involved. Is there supposed to be? Running signal strength winegard, says there are still too many 0’s for the transponders, but the dish is locking on fine.

The SWM power inserter should be in line with the actual SWM LNB on the dish and the physical H25. The SWM power inserter port labeled 'POWER TO SWM' feeds to the dish on your RV. The other coaxial port goes to the SATELLITE IN on the H25. Ensure that your H25 is set properly for SWM3. This can be done by going to Menu, Settings & Help, Settings, Satellite, Repeat Satellite Setup, and press the (-) DASH button.

I’ve tried that, but it will usually never let me change it. Usually if I try, it starts to go into the repeat satellite setup even if I don’t want it to

Can you attach a picture of this behavior?

During the whole time after a red button reset, on step 2 it just cuts out and always gives the 771 signal loss error before it completes

You have posted that it needs to be a SWM3 and not SL3 LNB like it states. Is this true and causing our issue? Like I have said, it never lets me change it but I am currently reading through the winegard manual about using the app to change it, going into the IDU interface to do it

@Daubby69

the second picture you attached appears that the H25 is detected the SWM LNB just fine, those settings are correct. From that second picture, just press the 'CONTINUE' button. If you come out with an error or something else, go to the Signal Strength option on the H25 and see if any signals show for 101, 99, and 103.

Yes the signals show for the transponders and that is when I talked to winegard and they said there are too many 0’s which is why we have the 771 error. She said we have a cable issue. I have replaced and checked the two cables involved at least 3 times. According to websites, we have the model SK2SWM 3

I don't think it's a cabling issue as the H25 detects the LNB in the satellite setup just fine.

Please attach your signals for 99, 101, and 103.

"771" is typically a satellite signal reception issue, not your cabling. How are you aiming the dish? Any obstructions?
