Worse TV service EVER, NEVER EVER will I use AT&T/Directv again!

After 23 years with AT&T/Directv I cut the cord. I worked for AT&T once upon a time and it has definitely become a low class company since I worked for them.
My AT&T/Directv bill has increased obscenely over the years and the service decreased obscenely especially on the tv side, fewer and fewer channels for more money every month.
I cancelled my service in December of 2023, yet they still billed me in January 2024 for a full month. When I called to complain about this I was told that I would be receiving a Mastercard/Visa gift card in 5 to 8 weeks for reimbursement. I told them I didn’t want a gift card I wanted a check for US currency sent to me and they told me too bad that this was how they now do business. So if you’re thinking about discontinuing your service you better contact your bank or your credit card company and put a “STOP PAYMENT” for AT&T/Directv on your account!

Does anyone know if there a class action suit against them for this type of highway robbery.

It's nice to have options.

DTV like most companies limit you to binding arbitration.  So long as the content providers and local channels want more money for their programs all TV providers will have to raise their prices.

DTV no longer prorates the final bill so that means you pay for and receive service until the end of your billing cycle regardless of when you canceled so it is possible you canceled after you billing started so you where billed for it.
