Why can't I sign into my HBO Max through DIRECTV? It keeps telling to sign into AT&T. I closed my AT&T account.

I cannot sign into my HBO Max because it keeps directing me to sign into my AT&T account that is closed.

I have DIRECTV because I am an employee and I expect this to allow me to sign in using my DIRECTV sign in that I have been using in the past. I never signed into HBO Max using my AT&T account before, because I never had HBO Max through AT&T; it is through DIRECTV.

What device are you using? Have you tried selecting DIRECTV as your TV provider? If not, HBO MAX would probably default to asking for your AT&T credentials because it thinks AT&T is your TV provider. If you can’t select a TV Provider, you may be able to sign in from a computer via a code and link HBO MAX with DIRECTV that way.

I was having the same issue, but to resolve it I had to log in with the @att.net log-in and password and it loaded with the same accounts/profiles as before with the DirecTV information. I hope this helps.
