The Direct TV took my payment out of my checking account and still asking for payment!!!

I have a proof of payment with the image of the check I have sent to Direct TV Illinois. They took the payment and still wanting me to pay. They sent the bill to the debt collector. I have sent the proof to the collector and wanting me to talk to direct tv customer service, so I called them again and said that the payment came through but failed. It’s ridiculous! I wonder who stole my payment. There is no proof that money came back to my checking account. I have called them today, they said they have a technical issue and need to call in hour or two. There must be something wrong with their system and hoping they could find who pocketed my payment. I have been dealing this issue for a long time now.

I am hoping that this will be cleared out as soon as possible because this has been stressing me a lot! Not a single due I haven’t paid. It’s not funny when the bills goes to the debt collector and this totally will affect my credit score and history. I am fed up with the customer service I have talked to bunch of them and one have ever solved the issue. I keep asking where to send the proof and couldn’t even gave an email address to send it to. Seems like they don’t want to see any proof image from me that the money has taken out since August 2nd of 2023. Take note, the check has been sent since July 24, 2024 and the amount cleared on August 2nd. I sent the proof to the Credence Collector and still have wanted me to call Direct TV. I kept explaining my side but no one is willing to help me.  I don’t know what to do anymore but to think of legal ways to solve this issue. This has taken a lot of stress out of me. The customer service told me to go to Direct TV store and I had to drive an hour just to find out it’s an AT&T store not a Direct TV store to prove I have paid the bill through bank copies. When I got there they still couldn’t be able to help because my account has been cancelled and closed, they couldn’t make a note that they’ve got the payment proof from me. I have no idea what has been going on.

I am sorry.. meant no one has helped to solve the issue. Sent out the check to Direct TV Illinois on July 4, 2023. The customer service said that the Direct TV isn’t associated with AT&T anymore, told me to find a direct tv store near me. So, I searched one Direct TV near me and drove to there only to find out it’s an AT&T. I could have drive to the nearest AT&T close by. Seems like the staffs don’t know what they are talking about and don’t know their job. What is really the point of calling the customer service when I can’t even show the proof even at the physical store. I can only shake my head off. I was afraid that even if I would pay again, they still go ahead and say I don’t pay and the bill is still valid.

DTV doesn't have any stores and AT&T sold off 30% of DTV and the new partner is running the day to day operations.
