Streaming from out of town from my Genie receiver.
I am in Ann Arbor MI. Trying to stream from my Home Genie. It tells my it cannot find my receiver. I am able to stream other channels.

DirecTV currently does not support streaming your DVR (Genie or otherwise) out-of-home. Through the app you have access to some content from On Demand (which might mirror some things on the DVR, but not guaranteed).
They did have this option a few years ago, so hoping the new owner is able to bring this back.
