Service termination charges
I was told this morning that I had to wait till July 4th to terminate my service since the bill had already been sent out, I wanted to disconnect on 6/10/20. How is this possible? Where does it say that I have to pay till July 4th just because the bill was in the mail? This is an extra $100.00 for a service you tell me I can't termiante.

You can cancel on any day but ur bill is not pro-rated. Perhaps July 4 is the final day of your billing cycle.
Check your bill (paper or online) for the exact dates. If you cancel mid-cycle, you are still responsible until the last day.

You can call and cancel at any time. However the cancellation is effective the end of your service cycle. So if your service month runs June 5 thru July 4th, then the 4th would be the effective last day of billed service. As such you would want to call closer to the end of the service month to get the most out of what you will be paying.
It says this in the Terms of Service. This updated about 18 months ago. Here is the notice they sent us customers in 2018 about the change (I kept mine for reference).

I have been harassed repeatedly by Direct TV. My contract was over so I cancelled, March 19th I was sent the boxes to send their boxes and hand units back. On April 19th 2022 I sent them back> I have a receipt. I then get a bill for $444.93. I havent to this date got a explanation as to why. First it was because I didnt return equipment. Now its service charges. IM FED UP. I continue to get harassing phone calls. Sue me! And Im going to sue you!

What exactly does the bill say the charges are for? If it doesn't make sense, call DirecTV back and speak to a different agent to go over the bill with you.
Since you were sent boxes for the return, that goes by FedEx to you and then USPS back to them. You didn't take to UPS instead did you? If so that would be non-return fees as going to the wrong place means they didn't go where they were supposed to.
Nobody is going to "sue" anybody. That is not how past due works. At this long ago it would have gone to a collection agency. And per the Terms of Service your are limited to binding arbitration, per what you agreed to when you went with their service.
In any case this is a thread from 2020 about not prorating the bill which is not your dispute. If you want help from other posters, start your own thread. For official support call DirecTV.
