Removing HBO MAX from service.

I'm about to be charged for HBO MAX but can't use the service since my tv is too old to allow that app.  Chat has no one available and the phones keep sending me to people with accents I can't understand.  How do I remove HBO MAX since you can't do ANYTHING online like hitting the remove button since it only sends you to chat.

So how are you getting it in the first place?  AFAIK you go to their website to do that as DTV has nothing to do with it, you can also post in their forum.

I got HBO MAX when I got the service.  Free for a few months.  Tomorrow they start charging for it.  I can't add the app to my tv  (circa 2016).  When I got the service they said you can cancel it on the website but ATT website won't let you do anything without chatting or calling.

Hello @Polarbyte.

We don't want to see you go, let's work together to find all options to keep you in our family. I'm sending a private message, so we can check this on more detail.

You go to the HBO Max website, you can add a streaming device to your TV if you want to use it.  While DTV does give a 3 month free preview of the premium channels like HBO ASFAIK they don't offer HBO Max as that requires signing up on their website.

@shannon02 When you get HBO through Directv, that includes access to HBOMax. The Directv bill even lists it as HBOMax.

@polarbyte If HBOMax is on your Directv bill, you need to call Directv to cancel it. If you are getting charged for HBOMax separately, then you need to cancel that through the HBOMax website.
