My direct tv is still active after cancellation

I recently cancelled my ATT direct tv package (landline phone, internet and Direct tv) on the 14th .  I received the email to return the U verse equipment and receivers.   They shut off my phone and internet the same day.  But currently my Direct tv is still active and i can watch tv still.  Why has my direct tv service not been shut off yet like the internet and phone?

Also my current bill shows the full amount still to pay off.

Perhaps the cancellation date/disconnection date has not come yet. Otherwise, what are the receiver models and what happens when you try to login to your DIRECTV account?

I told them to cancel it on the 14th.  I even received the email to return the receivers

Cancellation dates cannot be changed. Your account is cancelled the date it was started or the time you receive your monthly bill.

Both receivers MUST be returned. Don’t return them yet, wait for both to actually be deactivated. Look for error code 721 or 726 as these denote a deactivated receiver. 

Take equipment to a participating FedEx or UPS location with the account number and equipment. Don’t bring splitters, HDMI cables, coaxial cable, or any dish equipment. Be SURE to keep your shipping receipt for AWHILE (at least a year) so that you don’t have to deal with the non-return equipment fee in case DIRECTV makes a mistake and thinks you didn’t return anything.

the phone and internet was cancelled on the day I call on the 14th.  but the directtv will be cancel at end of my cycle Nov 4 even if i called to cancelled on the 14th? 

Why has current bill not been adjusted after shutting off the phone and internet part?

Yes, DIRECTV will be cancelled on Nov. 4

Excuse my understanding of internet and phone billing for AT&T, I’m only knowledgeable on the DIRECTV side. Someone else here can help you or I suggest you try the AT&T Community Forums there as I’m sure you’ll get a straight answer there.

DTV no longer prorates the finial bill so you pay for and receive service till the end of your billing cycle that started on the day you where installed, on day 2 the bill is made and sent and 20 days later it is due.  DTV has nothing to do with your phone/internet service you need to contact them about their bills.

The AT&T bill include direct tv, phone and internet. 

When email says to return receivers by Nov 4 .  can I send the receivers on last day of cycle Nov 4 to fed ex or does direct  tv needs it received before Nov 4  ?

You have 21 days from the end of the billing cycle to take them and your account info to UPS/FedEx store to scan them in and they are bulk shipped to DTV.  Make sure to keep the receipt in case DTV tries to bill you the NRF. DTV being bundle with you phone/internet bill has nothing to do with correcting your phone/internet bill.

Thanks.   I guess they didn’t continue service on my phone and internet because both are inactive since called on the 14th to cancel. Per agreement they should of not done that ,

I understand DIRECTV is still active until end of the cycle Nov 4

Yes billing cycle shows Oct 7 to Nov 6 

I cancel Direct tv and my billing cycle ends November 6, 2022.   Why is my direct tv still active and receiving channels on the app and receivers on November 7 still?

My account shows my service has been canceled

online access is still enabled.  it shows account canceled and last cycle paid for billing cycle oct 7 to Nov 6.  last payment for oct 30.  Amount owed now at 0.00

Just log in to Direct TV web site and it says on main page that your directv satellite services has been discontinued.

service is discontinued and you do not have a remaining balance and nothing is due.
