My Bill Increased 35 Dollars When It's Supposed to Be Price Locked For 2 Years
When I first got my TV service I was told that my cost would be price locked at $105 for 2 years. I Have been a customer aince May of this year. The other day I get an email the other day that they are hiking my bill up an additional 34 bucks a month which is outrageous to begin with. I understand costs increase and all but shouldn't direct tv have to adhere to the price lock I was guaranteed when I started? What are my options here? I called the customer support line and she basically there's nothing that she can do about it and that if I can't afford the current package I have that she could help me pick out a lesser expensive one. As a new customer who chose direct tv because of the deal I was offered I am starting to regret my decision....

Do you have it in writing that your price was going to be locked for 2 years? Did you sign up through Directv or a 3rd Party retailer? If you have it in writing then you can fight the increase, If you were only verbally told then you are most likely out of luck. You could always file a BBB(Better Business Bureau) complaint.

I don't think there's any such thing as a "price lock" for two years. How did you purchase your DirecTV? Too often third party resellers will make crazy promises.

I got my direct tv thru AT&T so essentially I got it directly from direct tv .. I can look through my terms to try to find it in writing but I know.i was told verbally.
