MLB Extra Innings
I am a long time subscriber (20 yr plus) to DirecTV. I am currently able to get MLB.TV thru my T-Mobile wireless service. I know that MLB Extra Innings includes MLB.TV but that requires me to subscribe and pay for MLB Extra Innings. However, is there a reciprocal arrangement with MLB.TV > MLB Extra Innings? For convenience I prefer to use MLB Extra Innings thru DirecTV but I don't want to have to pay extra for that. I'll just watch MLB.TV and save the bucks. Why wouldn't DirecTV want the advertising revenue from my watching MLB thru their MLB Extra Innings instead of it going to MLB.TV? Anyway to convince DirecTV that it is a win - win for them to provide MLB Extra Innings to me as a loyalty discount?

It doesn’t hurt to call in and ask for it as a ‘loyalty’ subscriber agenda. Call DIRECTV ( number in my greeting below) and say ‘cancel’ to the robot. There, you should threaten to cancel for MLB Extra Innings pack and perhaps they will grant it to you (obviously not guaranteed). Otherwise, they may be able to give you a monthly credit on the account which you can use to sub to MLB extra innings

Not sure why you think watching games through MLB EI would somehow increase ad revenue for Directv. I suspect most, if not all of that ad revenue goes to the various sports networks broadcasting the games, not Directv.

DTV is a subscription service, they don't get any ad revenue.
