Max subscription
Hi,
One when has a subscription to Max, is it just for watch HBO on the T.V? Because I am unable to watch any programming through Max.com. The site says they can't verify by subscription through my provider. Any suggestions on how I can remedy this situation.
Thank You.

Hello @cousindave. We're sorry you're unable to watch any programs on Max. This issue is still ongoing, and we are working on a resolution. In the meantime, try to log in and select ATT as your TV provider. We apologize for the inconvenience, and DIRECTV appreciates your patience. Stephanie, DIRECTV Community Specialist

I, too, am waiting for a solution. Chat support had me try with directvstream as my provider and at&t as my provider. Neither works.

I am having the same issue. I just discovered this issue last night.
Can't verify subscription it says. I tried on iPhone, LG WebOS and Apple TV. For the TV set top boxes instead of just going to the page with our user accounts, its like reset, like they all logged out for some reason. I never saw that before. So if I go to log in, it shows a QR code on the TV. I scan it with my phone and go to the site on my phones browser. I choose DirecTV - I have my passwords saved with the bitwarden extension. I sign in, and then on the phone it takes me to a "Can't verify subscription". I have DirecTV via Satellite. I checked the DirecTV app and also HR-44 receiver and the HBO channels are working fine there.
I'm glad I finished watching House of the Dragon on Max a few weeks ago!
I tried on the computer with the AT&T login, and it autofills my DirecTV info, but it takes me to my account overview showing my tv package, my equipment and remotes, etc... It doesnt switch back to max.com with access to the content.
So DirecTV verifies and switches back to max.com saying it can't verify subscription. AT&T verifies but just takes me to account center. Max.com is no longer open in this browser tab.

Has anyone encountered a fix? Going on 4 days does not sound like “soon”

I tried connecting to HBO Max through DirecTV about 12 hours after first reporting the issue to DirecTV, and my login credentials stopped working all of a sudden. They were working earlier. After multiple attempts, I ended up changing my account password. I was able to connect to HBO Max via DirecTV afterwards.
Once you select DirecTV or DirecTV Stream as your provider, you’re redirected to an AT&T login page. For some reason, using the same password as usual won’t work after being redirected. So if anyone’s still having issues, enter your normal username and then click forgot password. Follow the prompts and try connecting with your new password. Good luck!
EDIT - Make sure your normal login credentials don’t work and that your HBO Max apps are up-to-date before attempting this.

Having the same issue as all here. Going on 3 days now. Tried the forgot password that Cherryboom_x2 suggested and changed my password but that didn't work either.

Anyone get any resolution on this? It's going on 5 days now and still not fixed. Don't understand why it is taking so long.

For me, issue is with either DirecTV or Max as I am unable to access Max via computer browser, iOS app or Apple TV app.

It was the same “unable to verify subscription” message across all devices (Roku, iPhone app, Android app, computer browser).

I have HBO Max through a grandfathered DirecTV plan that I purchased when upgrading my phone with AT&T many years ago. I believe the package is called “Live A Little.”
Before updating your password, please be sure to report your issue to DirecTV. Maybe that has to be done first for the password trick to work. Because like I said earlier, my login credentials were accepted initially. I was only getting the “cannot verify subscription” message at the time. Then 12 hours after speaking with someone, it changed to an issue with my password. So DirecTV must have done something behind the scenes…

This appears resolved as of this morning for me. When I tried to log in Max made me create a new account to reconnect my Directv account.
