Loss of ABC and NBC
Direct TV has stop providing prime channels ABC and recently, NBC. These are prime networks and supposed to be "public" TV for everyone. I want a monthly credit on my bill for the loss of these networks. You are in "breach" of the arrangement (contract). Be assured I will be canceling Direct TV very soon if the prime networks (at least NBC) is restored. When will be restored?

@miminsd we're working with Nexstar, the owner of your local stations, to make sure you keep them while protecting you from significant price increases. You can get the latest updates about the negotiation, and get a one-time credit of $10 here TVPromise.com. We apologize for any inconvenience on your service and appreciate your patience. @miminsd Directv is not in breach of anything if you had chosen to read your terms of service or TOS which it clearly states that channels are subject to change at any time. Does not matter what TV provider you choose this will happen again as all TV providers go through these negotiations the only way to avoid this is to get an over-the-air antenna.

It's the greedy corporations that own local stations (like Nexstar) that pulled your channels. They want more and more and more money to deliver FREE over-the-air stations. It's killing satellite/cable providers as they're forced to pass along those ever-increasing fees.
Learn the truth about these exorbitant retransmission fees here ....

They are public TV channels all you need is an OTA antenna and a digital tuner.

I just read an article in the July 4 LA Times Calendar section that Nexstar not only owns stations they also manage 30 Mission and White Knight owned stations and of course they offered to extend the contract to Oct 31 right in the middle of football season.

I received the one time $10 credit over six months ago for the loss of my local Fox station which I’ve never gotten back. Now I lost my local NBC station as well. About time to cancel DirecTV and fix the problem with antenna and streaming services in place of the “total package.”

You have posted personal info for the hackers/scammers of the world to use. You need to read the TOS you agreed to when you sighed up for DTV about channels and programing are subject to change at any time.
