LIARS
So, a few months ago, a Direct TV / AT&T sales person knocked on my doors and talked to me about internet service and having a bundle with Direct TV. I told this person that I’m with Spectrum and we don’t have a contract and I will be moving to another State by June 2023. He said that will not be under contract and he can saved me some money by doing the bundle, which he did saved me some money, but at what cause. So today I called Direct TV to cancel it and just to keep the internet because I’m working from home, not watching a lot of TV and I will be moving by the end of Mar. Talking to customer service, they hit me with a $400 plus for early cancellation, I was like I don’t have a contract, that was not what your sales person and I we talked about. And obviously, they put you on hold to “dig” and see what they can do for you. Customer service came back and said that there is nothing that they can do for me and that I have to paid the early cancellation. So, AT&T and Direct TV, get your (Edited per community guidelines) together and stop stealing from people, stop lying 🤥 to us or you will continue getting these types of reviews from the consumers. I remember when AT&T used to be a great company, but now the only thing that they are bunch of F…ING LIARS that they don’t care about the customer anymore. Shame on you all for SCAMMING people mad 😡 😡 😡

NEVER trust door to door salesmen, they usually work for independent companies just trying to make a profit from you signing up. They usually miss out on important info such as the obvious two year contract. Next time, you should be careful about who you trust and always check the website before agreeing to anything. The directv website does clearly state about a contract that applies when you sign up.
Also, this is a public forum of other customers so we have nothing to do with what happened. You should bring up a complaint with the company that this door-to-door salesman whom sold you service worked for.

Oh wow, now this is more sad because if you AT&T and DIRECT TV are aware of these third parties salesmen knocking on people’s doors and are doing that, what you need to do is not take those orders anymore because when they came to my house, he Identified himself as AT&T and Direct TV salesperson. And what you need to do is to stop giving our information to a third party so they can come to our homes and talk to us about promotions and things that are not true. And yes, you are giving out our information out to third party companies because it is strange to me that a few hours before the salesperson showed up to my house, I was at one of the AT&T stores ordering a phone and a few hours after I left the store, he showed up to my house. 🤔 🧐 💭 Yeap, you are giving our info to someone else without our concerns. Shame on you 🤦🏾♂️
