Identify Theft fraud Claim DIRECTV
I filed an identity theft claim on 9/9/23. The website stays I should receive a response or update within 4 weeks. As of today, I was given a telephone number via DM to call regarding my claim. After 36 minutes with multiple transfers, I was told the number was only for cell phone so my time was wasted.
According to last person on the phone, Directv does not talk with people about the submitted fraud claims. There is no way to discuss this issue with Directv.
The people responding via DM does not have contact information with the Directv Fraud Strategy and Operations Bureau.
My concern is that Directv approved the service for this person without requiring a credit check. I know this because I froze the 3 credit bureaus three years ago after a data breach which included my personal information. I know the address where the service was installed, the dates of service, and the email address give by the criminal who order the service. All of this was included in the required police report in order to file the fraud claim.
I just want Directv to send me the findings of my complaint. I am concerned that Directv will continue to allow criminals to receive service and then bill the victims p.
