How can I convey my dissatisfaction with someone who can actually resolve an issue before I file a formal complaint with DirecTv?

I would like to review the account I ended up cancelling due to many things really. I would like to do this with someone who actually has some power to make changes with: how their customer service reps deal with people, issues with combining bills and promotions disappearing before the promised dates, robocalls (??) that call multiple times in a day that don’t leave messages and when you call the number back you’re sent to DirecTv canned talking and then hen disconnected. I could go on and on but before I research the most effective means of filing a formal complaint based off of the pages of notes I’ve kept over the least 3 years, I’d like to know if anyone at DirecTv knows what their doing and cares enough to change the minds of frustrated customers.

Thank you Shannon. I know it’s a customer forum - I was hoping to get tips/advice from other customers that have had issues and came up with solutions. Calling AT&T / DirecTv is useless and a waste of a lot of time.

For eleven months I was charged double for my Directv service. After a few months, I cancelled my service. I was still getting charged monthly on my credit card. I contacted capital one and disputed the charges and asked them to block the charges. They were unable to do that. They told me that Capital One is owned by Mastercard and it is ultimately up to Mastercard to block the charges.  But Mastercard could not/would not stop the charges.  I cancelled my card and got a new card. The new card was charged. Twice I got a new card. And twice the charges went through even though I never gave DirecTV the new card number. I eventually cancelled my card and switched to Discover. DirecTV, Capital One, and Mastercard were not able to stop my card being charged monthly. They do not care about their customers. They only care about making money off of them. :0(
