Genie mini

Just switched to a Genie with one Genie mini. The Genie works fine.  The mini will blank out and say "waiting for receiver signal" for a few seconds up to a minute.  Will then come back on.  It is very random.  I have a wired mini NOT wireless.

This could be an issue with the coaxial cable coming to the Genie Mini, a bad splitter, or bad box. First try pressing the red button reset on the Genie AND GENIE MINI (side by the access card or front where it says ‘push’.) Also, what are the receiver models? Are these your only 2 boxes?

Directtv sent me a bew genie mini but that didn't make any difference. The cable was fine before the tech replaced my receivers from outdated to the genie. If it is the cable would I have to replace the cable or would directv do that for free with the protection plan.

DIRECTV sends someone out free of charge if you have the Protection Plan. Moreover, replacement equipment is free as well.

The model # for the genie is HR54 200 and the model # for the mini is C61-700C-R. I only have the 2 boxes. All the cables are the same as what I was using before the switch.

Thanks for the receiver info. Since you have the Protection Plan, receiver/client replacements are free of charge, and so are technician visits. You should call in to have a tech come out and diagnose your satellite setup.
