Fraudulent phishing email

How do I reach a stateside human from the  fraud department? Normal AT&T support confirmed that the email I received must be fraudulent. They connected me to the Fraud Dept, but there is no way to reach a human there and none of the automated options offered applied.

I received a phishing email  allegedly from AT&T saying that I have balance due. I talked to an offshore support supervisor who assured me that I have no balance due and that the email must be fraudulent. The email contained the last 4 digits of my account with Directv, my name and email address, all correct and looked extremely legit, including the phone number to pay the alleged bill ( 800-288-2020). I would like to speak with someone in the fraud department about this to see if your servers have been hacked revealing customer data. How can I do this? When I call the fraud number there is no way to reach a human.

I believe you are wasting your time attempting to speak with the fraud department. I’m quite sure they won’t do anything about a phishing email nor provide any information about whether or not any customer data breach has occurred.

I wish you were wrong but from my experience thus far with them, they could give a s__t about customer service.
