I have spent days talking with DIRECTV agent via a DM. Absolutely a waste of time. I was given a phone number for global fraud management only to find out it was for cell phones. Our Directv account has been canceled. I am asking for the Directv Fraud Strategy and Operations in El Segundo to call about the claim that was filed.

I filed a Directv identity fraud claim on9/9/23. Their website stated I would received a response within weeks. As of yesterday, I was give a telephone number via DM to call. After 36 minutes and multiple transfers, I was told the number was for cell phones not Directv. According to the last person on the phone, Directv does not have a telephone number or any other method to tracking claim or speak to a person.
The people responding is DM, apparently, do not have access to Directv Fraud Strategy and Operations urea’s.
My concern is that Directv approved this fraud claim without requiring a cred check. I know the because my personal information was frozen at all 3 credit bureaus over 3 years ago due to a data breach. From the collection agency, I was able to find out the dates of service, the address of the installation, and the email the criminal used. All of this was included in the police report. The fraud claim was file at Directv website and I have a reference number.
it has been over 5 month since I received the demand letter from a collection company. I responded to both the collection company and Directv disputing the bill. Neither company responded to my letter.
We have cancelled our Directv account to due this issue.
