Excessive fees and no prior notice of pricing changes and no supervisor to speak with

How many of you have recently experienced another increase in your bill with DIRECTV in a very short period of time? I have been with DIRECTV for over 25 years.  My bill jumped to $200 monthly. I responded immediately by changing packages, reducing services, changed services just about 2 months ago, eliminated access to channels (eliminated 47 channels) and now 2 months later, they have increased the bill again, working very closely back to the $200 monthly price tag again for MUCH less services.  When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was advised that this would have to wait until Monday and this was with the complaint being escalated! DIRECTV wants you to pay for services, not rendered, for channels not accessed, for services not received on a timely basis but refuse to give you services on a timely basis. If DIRECTV is going to increase a monthly bill with excess, there should be prior notice with options. Totally unprofessional and unacceptable. I noticed more frequent pricing changes under the ownership of AT&T.

DTV only changes the base rate once a year in January with emails going out in Oct/Nov to pay for the increases that the channels got when their contracts came up during the past year.  You pay for a channel package doesn't matter if you don't watch them or even if you disconnect the dish from the receiver.  Any other increases you need to check your bills to see what is changing.

Something doesn't sound right. My bill only goes up once each year in February. Or perhaps if I buy a PPV movie.

AT&T has sold off 30% of DTV and no long handles the day to day operations.
