To someone responsible in charge;

            My wife and I have been on the phone with your associates for four hours yesterday and three hours today trying to get out final bill. I just wish you could have set in our family room and when through what she has had to endure. Your company tried to charge us for equipment we never received and equipment that we returned by UPS Dec . I have bank statements that we payed for oct and nov bill. Your company took the wrong card number for our Dec. payment so we owed for Dec. We canceled our service on Dec. 28, 2020 and returned your equipment to UPS on Dec. 30.2020. We have payed our bill on auto pay for years. We owe for Dec. and one month for our internet bill. Your employee name Crystal on the phone told my wife we owed 202.76 for Dec. payment on Direct TV  with the comf. #6TC7CLARKO7LXBT. So then Crystal transfer my wife to Josh and he got our directV bill down to 152.00 for the month of Dec. and every month on Nov. 20, 2020. One of you employees mistakenly applied the internet bill to the directv bill. So now what we owe is 152.00 for Dec. Directv bill and 67.49 for the internet bill. Your trying to bill me for Jan. and we cancelled our service on Dec. 28 2020. If you check my account and the recorded phone calls with my wife and your company you would be shocked, surprised and upset. No one should be treated like this. I own two small companies and I would never be able to do business like this. Now I need someone in authority to contact me by phone or email to settle this issue.     Thank You,  James R (edited as per community guidelines)

I feel your pain. The customer service I’ve received lately is unacceptable. I was promised a discount and instead of giving me the discount as quoted they shorted it by 15 and raised my bill by 15. Then was told the error would be fixed and to call back to confirm and was told that wouldn’t happen. DirectvS customer service is a joke. We were also told we can only cancel on feb 14th. Not before the billing cycle ends.

You can cancel at anytime but you will be billed until the end of the billing cycle.

I need to get a direct contact number for the President  or the direct supervisor over your customer service department. This is an ongoing issue that I really need to get resolved. I would greatly appreciate a phone call at [EDITED per Community Guidelines]  Customer service is an important aspect for most companies these day and I really hope it is for Directv also.

I need someone who has a regard for customer service to please give me a call . I have an unresolved issue that has been going on for quite awhile and was told by your customer service supervisor that they are as high as I can go and they do not report to anyone higher up which is hard for me to believe! I have worked in a corporate office for 30 years and believe me there is always a higher chain of command. Please call me at [EDITED]. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. I will also be contacting the BBB regarding this issue.

Since we don't know what the issue is it's difficult to advise.

When I first started having a problem with DirecTV (ATT) I thought I could not be the only one that ATT is "messing with." Based on what I have read here, it is obvious that I am not alone. I have been trying to resolve a billing problem with ATT for OVER ONE YEAR. I have contacted FCC and BBB and the response they get is that the charges are justified. I have provided them with MY documentation indicating the charges ARE NOT justified. The "AT&T Office of the President" aka Customer Service, aka Complaint Department is the most unknowledgeable, rude, uninformed, antagonistic, etc. etc. They only talk, they do not listen. When you provide them with a recap of THEIR information, they can not find it in their records. Enough complaining. I AM NOT GOING AWAY. I can afford to pay them what THEY say I owe, however, principles live in my house (unlike DirecTV (ATT), and MY principles dictate that I will go to my grave with the financial destruction they have created for me.

Condensed version is that they automatically withdrew funds just before I cancelled service. I cancelled service and stopped payment of the funds (because payment is made in advance) since I wasn't going to use it, why should I pay for it? When they got notice of the stop payment, they turned me in for collection.

I just sent an e-mail to the CEO. Waiting to see if it makes a difference.

Payment is not made in advance, at least it is not and has never been for me. My bill cycle actually starts on the 1st. My bill for August isn’t due until near the end of the month.

Bill generated 3rd of the month. Payment withdrawn the SAME day.

1. payment is not made in advance

2. if you cancel, you will be charged for the balance of the current bill cycle, no refunds

3. if you cancel before the end of your current contract, you will be charged an early termination fee

All of these are facts, not speculation.
