That just adds six months to the contract, only active accounts count down the days till expiration.

Well generally when it comes to switching from one dtv service to another they GENERALLY waive said fee as you are still within the same house. They would do the same thing with other att services as well. Idk if it has changed but I would give them a call to check to see if that might just a technical error. Generally you want DTV Stream Migration. Ask for that.

@Juniper
I apologize for the confusion and ill attempt to revise
In the directory we had, (im no longer employed) it was labled as Directv Stream Migrations. People who were looking to switch from DTV Sat to DTV Stream would be allowed to have that ETF waived.
Now considering I havent worked for them in the last few months this could have all changed. They could of completely redid how Beam to Stream migration works and what perks people are entitled to. They might not even have the title anymore and may have shifted it all over to loyalty/clg. Its completely possible my info is outdated but at the time which was just a few months ago that was the policy. ATT means At This Time.
I apologize again for the confusion. Also would like to say that you have been the single most used "outside source" of dtv info for me when the knowlegebases did not provide clear info or it was outside my ability to view due to what im skilled for. So thank you for helping me out in tight calls here and there. You are definitely a resource for sure.

AT&T sold off 30% of DTV and that may have applied to the new partner going forward with new customers to DTV.
