I have enjoyed Direct TV and Disney for almost a year.   I was looking forward to continue enjoying both to help me get through my recent diagnosis of stage 4 cancer.   Now this coping mechanism is now been taken away.   This along with the possibility of an increase of my bill in an already low income frightens me.  Please help me by working together.

Yikes, well that is kicking sand on someone who is already down.

In most cases, these negotiations when brought public because of owner (Disney) withholding channel from TV provider (DirecTV) it doesn't last very long. Once a new agreement is reached they tend to be multi-year so we don't go through this again with the exact channel owner for a while.

Since Disney is such a powerful entity (House of Mouse sounds like the next mafia/cartel/illuminati, take your pick), they can play hardball. All of us consumers (well most of us I think) are wanting Disney to not dig their heels in for the long run.

Make sure to check www.directvpromise.com to take advantage of a courtesy credit. Some use this for a backup TV service while waiting. Also check for some free trials out there that can help in the middle as well.
