Direct TV Current Customer Dissatisfaction!

Why does Direct TV NOT OFFER continued reduced prices to keep customers? I have had to quit Direct TV twice before when my bill was going to increase and then after I cancelled and got a new service, they called me back and offered me a deal. Why don't you want to keep your current customers and only offer deals to new customers? It is a bad practice that has been in place for all the years I have been a customer. I talked to two different people who just COULD NOT find any offers to keep me. So now I have to have more holes drilled in my house and go with DISH or Xfinity.

Help me try to understand why they do not value LOYALTY!

AT&T's CEO has stated months ago there will be no more discounts for existing customers.

The reason there is no continued reduce pricing (discounts) is because they would not be able to afford it. Networks have increased costs over the years, so TV providers had to follow suit so as not to operate at a loss. Just like driving, no matter how long you have been doing so costs have gone up over the years.

Now because of too many customers looking for a handout (having too much in discounts for too long), they have had to make a hard decision. They have pulled back discount offers while they address the issue of customers who are operating at a loss, or close to it. In the end they are a business, not a charity, and so cannot keep giving away huge discounts.

No matter what company you go with, do not expect discounts to last forever. Always be prepared for full cost. If you cannot afford service without discounts, then you cannot afford it and it is your responsibility to reduce service until within budget. Companies have no obligation to keep giving you a discount and there should not be the expectation that they will keep offering discounts to you.

Just because the caller id says it is from DTV and the person is saying they are DTV doesn't mean they are not scammers.
