Direct TV billing

In August of 2022 I took my devices to UPS, who shipped them to Direct tv and gave me a receipt (per the instructions from the company).  I have sent them a copy of the UPS receipt.  Was told they would "escalate" my case.  Got a bill for $270 in October.  Same answer from the company.  Got a bill for $270 with threats in November.  Spent over 2 hours trying to talk to a human - computer says I have to make a payment to talk to a representative.  Same in early December, but with a threat to turn me over to collection agency.  Spent over 2 hours again but this time I paid $10 so that I could get a rep to talk to me.  He said he had to talk to his supervisor and put me on hold for 47 minutes.  A new woman came on the line and asked "How can I help you?" I said what happened to Racid (my customer rep) She said I don't know who that is.  She wanted me to start all over so I hung up.  I Gave up.

I got another threatening email at the end of December.  After 1.5 hours I got to a human,  who put me on hold for a long time while she talked to her supervisor  Called again and finally got to a supervisor in Los Angeles who said they would "escalate" my case.  When I pressed for what that meant she said they would look in the warehouse for my devices.   I said do you know that I did everything I was told and you have a receipt saying they were sent back?  She said she knows that but can't credit my account until they find the parts in the warehouse.

Got an email saying my account has been turned over to collection.  I have hired an attorney but need an address so he can notify ATT/Direct them of pending legal action.  HELP

You are limited to binding arbitration so that lawyer is taking your money.   File a BBB complaint to kick it to corporate.   UPS/FedEx bulk ship the receivers back to DTV so DTV may not have the receivers but that receipt is the proof you returned them.

Thank you for your response.  Not worried about atty costs as he is on retainer.  Took your advice and filed with BBB.
