My backyard patio roof was damaged during a technical repair. I've been calling several numbers and spending MANY hours and I cant get any good phone number to get an answer.

II called the customer service number. I was transferred to 4 different people in 4 different countries and was on hold for an hour. All I needed was to make an appointment for a technician.
Speaking of technicians, I recently upgraded to Genie 2. The first technician had the order wrong and didn't know how to rectify it. The second technician who came a week later had the right equipment but didn't know how to install it. He suggestion was to call the Geek Squad. He promised to check with his supervisor and call back, but never did. The third technician was also clueless on the installation, and I ended up paying to have my audio-visual person present while the technician basically watched him do the installation.
Now Direct TV can't maintain a consistent Internet signal.
What a way to run a business!!! I can't wait for AI to progress.

DTV tech are not trained to install audio equipment or A/V systems all they do is plug the HDMI cable into an HDMI port on the TV and change the TV's input to it. Your router assigns the IP address to the DTV receiver so any problems are with it.

They installed my neighbor's dish to my roof without my consent. DirTV customer service rep refused to report it to be corrected (including patching the holes they drilled into my attic wall) because I'm "not a customer." Good luck getting anything done! Btw my neighbor not likely to do anything about it because he apparently was ok with it. We've had other negative issues with him regarding our property.

You can remove the dish but leave the mounting bracket attached.
