Collection from ATT/DiecTV on my credit report

I have never had an account with ATT or DirecTV.

But I see a report of an unpaid bill from ATT/DirecTV

on my report as of 3 days ago from I.C. System INC.

How is that possible, anyone from ATT/DirecTV here?

I tried contacting ATT billing but they want an account number which I don't have!

I don't want to deal with IC Systems and there is no charges from ATT on any of my credit cards in the past.

I just want to know the info about the unpaid account, the address to be precise,  since it's not my address which has not changed in the past 25 years!

Google "How dispute a collection".

AT&T has no reason to deal with you.  They no longer own the debt.  It was sold to a collection agency.

OK, good to know they facilitate fraud activities.

SUGGESTION FROM EXPERIAN.COM

If you believe any account information is incorrect, you should dispute the information to have it either removed or corrected. If, for example, you have a collection or multiple collections appearing on your credit reports and those debts do not belong to you, you can dispute them and have them removed.

Geez...do I have to do everything around here.....

I have tried disputing with them. But they tell me the info is accurate without any proof yet, LOL!

Thanks for all your help.

The reason I Posted here is I figured they must be a way for ATT/DirecTV to verify that they never had any dealings with my address and name that has not changed in the past 25 years. But as a poster said they sold the debt so they must not care!

a.  This is a customer-to-customer forum.  AT&T has no discernible presence.

b.  Once a debt is sold to a collection agency, it is in the hands of said collection agency (knowledge acquired from years in the finance business).

3.  Personal information (name/address) is not allowed so there would be no way for anyone from AT&T (even if they did participate) to help you.

Once again, if you follow the link, Experian has provided specific information to dispute a collection.  Do with it what you wish.

With that being said
