can't access account

I've been trying to login and pay my Directv bill for 3 days and get an error message each time.  I've tried using Chrome and Edge--neither works.  I tried using MyAT&T, also without success.  I'm not willing to pay over the phone nor am I going to pay until I can actually see my bill and the cost breakdown.  What is the problem?

AT&T no longer owns DTV.   I just logged in so it appears to be working.  There have been problems if you use the same user id/email and password for both.

Do the normal clear cache/cookies. But since you mention "MyAT&T", it may come down to a issue with the unified login. AT&T got out of the TV industry so sold off their remaining share in DirecTV. That means the AT&T and DirecTV logins have been separated, but if you were using the same login info for both it can cause residual issues. That may require calling DirecTV to have them fully reset your online account profile to create the login again.

I respect wanting to see the breakdown of the bill before paying. However this does not protect your account from late fees or service interruption. You can call DirecTV to discuss the bill. Even if you had a traditional bill in the mail and for whatever reason it was delivered late (mail carrier error, local weather, someone snooping in your mailbox, etc.), you still would be responsible for paying the bill on-time.
