Canceled Service

I am a long time customer and cancelled my service today due to programming.  Once I cancelled the service, they advised that I had an early termination fee due to a receiver replacement back in 2022 which activated a new 24 month contract.  I had the protection plan and was told by the tech that I would not encounter any additional fees or contract issues due to it being a covered replacement.  Now I am being told otherwise.  I have never agreed or signed any additional contract.  Who do I contact to get this charge removed?

Replacement of equipment should only trigger a new contract if the replacement box is an upgrade from the old box. What were your box model numbers?

Thank you for your reply. The original devices were a C61W-400.  They sent me a C61W-700.  No upgrade was request nor did they advise they were sending an upgrade.  Like I said earlier, I was told they were just swapping out devises

All TV providers get the same programing from the content providers.  DTV has no control over what the channels send them.
