cancelation

I have been a DTV customer for over 21years... I also have turned numerous customers into joining DTV. I recently had to move in with my mother on Memorial DAY as she suffered a stroke and then fell and broke her hip. She was a comcast customer but when I moved in I had DTV installed. However now she is placed in a memory care facility as she has dementia. I will be returning all the equipment this Thursday October the 21st I requesting to cancel my 24-month contract due to the unforeseen circumstances. I would love to have DTV at my new residence but the people who own the home want to keep Comscast. I will only be staying here for 6 months April the 14th 2022 will be my last day at this residence. I will then buy my own home and reconnect with DTV. Please understand after a 21-year customer I feel with the unforeseen circumstances that you will cancel my 24-month contract. My last billing date is the 23rd of October. If you decide not to honor my request, I want to have the ABSOLUTE lowest plan you hae in place with ZERO extra charges as I wont be able to enjoy DTV. I hope you understand my request and discontinue my original contract at [Edited per community guidelines] due to my said circumstances. I will await your responce.

Thanks,

Russ [Edited per community guidelines]

This forum is not customer support. No one here can help you with your request to cancel the contract or to switch to the least costly plan if they won’t cancel the contract. As noted above, you’re going to have to call.

You will be charged the ECF/ETF of $20 per unused months of your 2 year contract per the terms of the TOS you signed when you had DTV installed if you cancel, if you put in a move order and take the receivers and power bricks and remotes to the new place then DTV will install a dish if needed and hookup the receivers.

As stated you have to call DTV.  A move order costs $199 since you don't qualify for a free one.
