blackout credit how do i assure that i receive it

I have attempted to apply for blackout credit of $10, for loss of local channels due to contract dispute between DirecTV and local station owners, but credit has not shown up on my latest billing.

Hi @pinballtom, if your bill has already been generated when you applied the credit, it may not yet reflect and will do so on the next bill. I'll send you a DM for further assistance. Christian, DIRECTV Community Specialist

Part of the problem I think is that when i go to TVPromise

and enter in my zip code and county then hit search

it brings in a pop up window and at the very bottom of the pop up (see excerpt below) it talks about the $10 blackout credit, but then it directs the customer to go to one of two links, DTV via satellite vs DTV via internet

and only the 2nd link via internet actually works to bring one to where you can actually apply for the credit by entering your email address. The link for Satellite customers (I am one of) does nothing but bring you to your DTV home account page without directing you to where to apply for credit.

See below

Why make it so hard to apply, why not make it automatic credit?!?!

If you cannot do it online I’d suggest calling DIRECTV (number in my greeting below) and having an agent from the billing department manually enter the additional $10 credit based on verifying that your service address is affected by the Tegna blackout.
