Billing Issue Continues to be Unresolved
Over the last few months, I have spent hours on the phone with AT&T customer service with multiple different departments telling me that my billing issue has been resolved though it clearly never has since I continue to receive phone calls and emails telling me about my balance due of $278.29. When I cancelled my services last year, I was told that my billing would be back dated so I would not owe anything. This was told to me by AT&T. I know that DirectTV and AT&T are 2 different companies, but I got DirectTV services through AT&T so I trusted this to be accurate. I even received an email on July 1st from AT&T stating that I would receive a credit, and nothing would be due. I thought this was again taken care of at the time, but then I received another call on 8/14 saying that AT&T and DirecTV were 2 different companies so this in fact had not been worked out. The person I spoke with on this call was very helpful and directed me to a website where I could file a claim on the billing issue. I received a response very quickly back on this with direction given to call a number. The number given to me was the AT&T customer service number which is INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING as clearly AT&T customer service cannot resolve this. With football season upon us, we were considering going back to DirecTV but after this incident we are not sure that we want to partner with your company anymore. My expectation is that the full amount due of $278.29 be waived considering I have been told multiple times that this was taken care of. My time is valuable, and I have spent too much time on the phone working to resolve this.

When all else fails, file a BBB report. That usually sparks some action. Good luck.

DTV no longer prorates the final bill so there is nothing to back date or credit as you pay for and receiver service until the end of your billing cycle. Most likely you canceled service after your billing cycle ended and owe that month.
