An error occurred while processing your request
While trying to access my DirecTV account for the last couple of weeks, I get the following error message:
An error occurred while processing your request.
Reference #219.d3403617.1718044307.916fd3c
https://errors.edgesuite.net/219.d3403617.1718044307.916fd3c
This occurs whether I use Chrome or Edge. I have cleared my cache, cookies and browsing history. This error message happens only while trying to access DirecTV-no other web page.
Can anyone help solve this problem?

Have you tried using a different device to log in to your DIRECTV account, along with a different internet connection? Has this been an issue in the past?

Hi, @jaked6301. We came across your post, and we appreciate you taking the steps to rectify this issue. I just want to ask, have you tried to log in using a private browser or incognito mode?
We appreciate your input @detuch254.

I found the problem. The VPN in my Norton 360 seems to be responsible for blocking access to the DirecTV site. When I turned the VPN off, I can access DirecTV login page.
The VPN does not block access to any other page I visit. I have no idea why the DirecTV/VPN combination produces the error message posted earlier.
Problem solved!

2/14/25 I’m also having this problem. The only site in millions I have visited in the 2 years using my current configuration. either my isp Xfinity doesn’t want me to switch providers or your site doesn’t like that I have privacy features on. Just strange that only directtv.com is an issue. Pretty sure you are the problem. I will not change my settings to view direct tv. People are sick of being tracked and profiled and sold for peanuts to whoever has $$$$. I have a feeling if I put a VPN on the router you’d block all my traffic or throttle till I give in. No thanks.

DirecTV, regardless if traditional satellite or the new streaming-only options, is only licensed within the United States. So they do have the right to verify their service is not being accessed from someplace that has no right to it. Certainly how it is done could be better.
TV provider doesn't throttle you, that's really going overboard. But in the end if TV provider doesn't work with your personally mandated options, than find another that does (if you can). If not, then going back to regular antenna is the only way to truly be off the grid.
