@Sunshine001957
This is a public forum, mostly other customers. Hopefully the supplemental forum support team can remove the Movies Extra Pack via the Direct Message (DM is private chat between users).
For dedicated support, you call DirecTV as normal.

Thank you DT support and Shannon. I am aware of the additional options. I purposely came to this form to inquire because I did not find another medium of communication to convey my concerns and calling into DT is a very unpleasant experience as it has always been. I have been a DT customer since 2001, thank you.
I chose this forum to solicit a response from someone who could lead to the solution. Explaining what this forum is for was not the question. If that is what evoked an unsolicited response, I choose not to entertain.
I would entertain directions as to where to find the "DM" that would lead to a solution after which I would request a refund. These concerns are only to the individuals with a sense of understanding and with a response that will lead to a solution. Note: Customer since 2001.

When DTVhelp sends you a DM/PM a box appears at the top of this page near the bell icon when you are logged into this forum, you can also send them one using one of DTV's social media websites.
This is a customer to customer forum with no access to any accounts.

DirecTV still uses over the phone as their main support. Other social media options can be used. Sometimes one might be lucky to get an official response here, but that is not the purpose of this forum. This place is intended for customers helping each other out. The rare official response is supplemental to regular support with limited options.
When they send you a Direct Message/Private Message (DM/PM) it shows in a text/speech bubble which is to the left of the bell (notification) icon in the upper right. You have a limited window to respond to it before you go through the regular support options as normal.
By posting in this forum you are entertaining responses from everyone, whether you consider it solicited or not. This is a public space, not a private setting you have control over.
No matter how many times you say you've been a customer since 2001 does not change these responses. And these responses are in attempt to help, which ideally is information and direction to get the solution you want, but sometimes will just be a realistic perspective on the situation.

@Juniper, feel free to self-aggrandize all you need or not. . . . .I know how to ignore what isn't necessary and accept what is considered helpful. do what you feel. Ignoring ignorance is what I am good at doing. Here for the mature audience and the intelligent responses they have to offer. Good riddance.

@Sunshine001957
I have posted helpful and relevant information since my first response, which has been mature. I don't get why you have decided to become hostile over that. I feel you may be reading more into my posts and perhaps applying a tone that isn't there. Perhaps read more in the vein like a textbook: factual information; relevant; perhaps not exactly what you would prefer to hear, but a realistic perspective; neutral, nothing against you personally.
(my only "irk" was the repeating/emphasizing about being a customer since 2001. I have found that tends to come off bragging, and in this case did not change anything responded. You could have had them since '94 and others would still have information or perspective to provide that could be helpful. Just like reaching 80 doesn't mean someone couldn't know something or have a better, or helpful different, perspective than yours as a comparison).
And yes, I've called DirecTV a variety of times over the years. Most of the time it has been pleasant for me, outside of I think a new agent one time and of course another where I threw them a bit of a curveball on a unique situation. My only true unpleasant was shortly after the acquisition by AT&T when it seemed many agents from the AT&T side, or brand new agents all together, were thrown into DirecTV waters with little training. I get being cautious right now, especially with AT&T having sold off their full share of DirecTV, but it is still their main avenue of support. This is a public forum with limited and only occasional official responses. A good resource, but do not rely on it as a complete replacement for calling in.
