U-verse is not available at this time Error message

I am getting a”U-verse not available at this time. Please try again later.”  Restart Receiver.  I have restarted a ad and reset my router several times and reset my DVR several times over the last 2 hours. Will I ever get my U-verse back again?

I think this is U-verse's issue. I'm having problems with my DVR playing back and my parents are too and they're in a different household. Not happy with AT&T right now :(

I am having the same issue. I called to try and speak to an agent, and the automated message said the wait time for speaking to a person is between 7 and 10 hours. (Edited per community guidelines)??

Tried to use chat through myatt. The chat session said "please wait your session is in line". After waiting in chat for about 20 minutes the screen suddenly said there were "technical difficulties" and no chat available.

How do I speak to someone?

Another UverseTV user here with issues.  Everything was OK until about 8:45pm CST.  Internet & VOIP is fine.

FYI:  I’m in the Dallas market.

I am having the same issue in suburb of Chicago. They wouldn't even let me wait on hold. My options were to ask for a call back and some unknown hour, or to hang up.

Hi @Pikabelle,

We understand your concern regarding U-Verse. We are here to help get your DVR back up to par.

To begin with, we recommend that you reset your gateway, because this will refresh the network and the equipment. This will help clear up the pixilation on the DVR.

  1. Press and hold the gateway Reset button for at least 10 seconds. If you let go before 10 seconds, the gateway will reboot, but it won’t reset.
  2. Wait until the gateway restarts and all the status lights are lit.
  3. See if the Broadband or Service status lights are solid green. If so, the reset worked.

If the issue still persist, we'd recommend that you use our Troubleshoot and resolve tool to scan your network for issues where you can Sign in for faster troubleshooting and diagnostics, customized solutions and updates on issues in your area.

Let us know if this helps.

Thank you,

Sarah

Downdetector.com is reporting widespread outages.

Having the same issue here in Fort Worth. U-verse TV is out, with the unavailable message, only offering a restart (which doesn't work). VOIP and internet are fine, so it appears to be a problem with the U-verse connectivity only.

I've restarted my gateway, WAP, DVR and receivers multiple times, following steps from other forum posts... all to no avail.

@Juniper    It’s times like this that the ability to merge threads would come in handy.  😜😜😜

I have this same error message.  Looking at Downdetector it appears to be a larger issue with U-Verse.  My internet is fine.

Nice when you use the AT&T site, it says everything is fine.

Forget the ATTHELP info above. It is a canned response from someone who knows not about the issue.

This is also a problem in San Antonio (as reported on nextdoor.com) and the outage system is not properly reporting it.

We just need to wait it out.
