U-verse is not available at this time Error message
I am getting a”U-verse not available at this time. Please try again later.” Restart Receiver. I have restarted a ad and reset my router several times and reset my DVR several times over the last 2 hours. Will I ever get my U-verse back again?

We haven't had TV since last night yet when I log on to my account, it says ALL GOOD - no outages. Come on ATT, at least update the website. Cant get a hold of anyone on the phone.

600 pm yesterday, I tried to watch a recording of the football game. Blank screen. Live TV was working. I did a restart but the wheel wouldn't stop turning. Did all the things to get it work. Nothing. Att computer says I need a tech. Scheduled for Tues. This morning I asked my neighbor if hers was out. It is. How does att not know there is a general outage? There is an outage a couple of miles away but does not include our area.

ALERT (for 75087) - we're up!! go ahead if you see the screen to reset click "reset receiver" . . let it do the reset on the main (wired) receiver first - FINALLY did not require a power cycle or gateway reboot just reset each receiver!! thanks everyone!!

Thanks to the U Verse techs who got the system up and running again (at least here in Dallas): well done.
Also: thank you Skeeter for doing what you can to help us.
Still, I would like to make a suggestion for next time such a widespread problem occurs:
U Verse has every customer's email address. Further, everyone who posted here, obviously has working email, or they couldn't have posted to the forum. Since apparently the normal troubleshooting systems couldn't be programmed with a notice. It would be great if U Verse could put out a broadcast email advising of an major outage.
To be frank, the notice at the head of this forum post either wasn't there earlier, or I missed it. In any case I would speculate that only perhaps 20% of U Verse users even know this forum exists. So... putting a notice here, while useful... is still a pretty obscure place.

"It would be great if U Verse could put out a broadcast email advising of an major outage."
That's a great idea, but some people still don't check their email as frequently as others. A text message might be better. "AT&T has been made aware of a widespread service outage affecting TV services only. Our technicians are working to restore service as quickly as possible."

Update: Tried the call again today since I did not want to wait till 3 AM for a call back last night. Now they are saying I can schedule it for Wednesday or Thursday. This must be one huge problem. I did notice the online chat was not working last night too. I also saw the bit that said everything is fine. The chat window said I was in line but nothing happened for hours there either. I would cut the cord but I have over 200 hrs of stuff saved that I really want to watch...or most of it anyway. If all that gets lost forever it may be time. I really love having a while house DVR and nothing on my roof is all. Losing channels for months on end pretty regularly is a vote in favor of cutting the cord too.
I have my OTA antennae set up. I am starting to wonder of an old DVR would still record. I do have one that has only been used to play DVDs occasionally over the last ...decade maybe. I hate sitting thru commercials.
