What model dish do you have? If it's an older dish then it's not compatible with all of the DirecTV Satellites. You need a Winegard Trav'ler or DirecTV Slimline dish to receive those channels.
DirecTV has been in the process of shutting down the MPEG-2/SD-only feeds. Most likely the shutdown finally affected you. Going forward you need MPEG-4 capable boxes and satellite dish. For travel you need a slimline SWM dish on a tripod/sled mount, or the Winegard Trav'ler as the KVH is very outdated.
There is a complimentary MPEG swap program from what is installed in the home, which you call DirecTV to order if needed. But the mobile setup, essentially the dish itself, will be at your own cost. What are the models of each box you have?
It will still receive the MPEG4 channels from the 101 sat but the problem is there will be no local channels on the 101 sat when DTV finishes the shut down of the MPEG2 channels and they will need MPEG4 receivers to watch them.
Thanks for all the help—-guess I will switch to Starlink and maybe a FireStick,,,Thanks… i sure hope Directv and KVH understand what they are doing,,,,I’ve been been a directv customer for over 20 years,,.,,oh well…

@Wturner50
As mentioned, DirecTV is shutting down MPEG-2/SD-only. Your KVH is a legacy model that cannot receive DirecTV's MPEG-4.
Since you mention "vessel" as @shannon02 listed, the Intellian s6HD or KVH HD11 is needed.
Welcome to a change in an era.
