If you are referring to Encore Western (rebranded Starz Encore Western as comes with the Starz pack), the programming has played without commercial interruption. I don't believe that has changed.
As a note, the Encore channels come with the Ultimate package or you can al-a-carte the Encore pack to any lower package for a few dollars cheaper than if you were to get the full Starz pack. So you could add it on and give a couple weeks or a month and see if you like it and if not quite what you're looking for, remove it when you're done.
As a note if you only try it for a bit, anything you record to your DVR from the satellite channels stays there even after the channels are removed. A way to build up a bit of a library if you want something as a backup for when nothing good is on.

Nothing upset and help is appreciated. Just when someone suddenly posts to multiple threads like that (including when you start counting in years old), a lot of the time means there is something they are looking for that is bugging them so wanted to be sure you had any help you were looking for.
