Voice commands
I would like to use my Google hub to voice control my DIRECTV Gemini. This would make fast forwarding totally hands-free. What do I say to the Google hub to make that happen? I was using it a couple weeks ago but it has since stopped working.

Yes it does. Ok, I figured it out. Just had to tell google to pause or play it by name. In my case the Gemini is called LR.
“Google, pause LR”
”Google, play LR”
” Google, fast forward LR 3 minutes”.
After I say the name once, Google knows from then on for that session.

kanzacc- I'm having a similar issue. How did you know your Gemini was called 'LR'? Mine is called something like Directv1688002.

There is a way to change the name of the Gemini to LR(living room) MBR(master bed room) ETC in you account under manage equipment.

Correct . Changed it. But when I give Hey Google a command - which, at this stage it can only handle turning the TV on, it refers to it as the Directv16246. See Screenshot
*I’m aware I have 2x living room TV’s. I just switched out an old Directv device and it has since been renamed.

Commands such as changing the channel to ‘X’ work flawlessly via the assistance app on my iPhone…just can’t integrate via the hub
