Video Jitter

I have video jitter when viewing live channels. The audio is not affected and streaming is not affected either. My main receiver is a Genie.

What is the receiver model of the Genie? If you have other receivers, list their receiver models as well (along with if you are having jittering issues on those.). Does this jittering issue occur on DVR recordings from the Genie, or from specific live channels on the Genie (or are all live channels affected)? Try a red button reset (side by the access card for HR54 series or front behind the door that says ‘PUSH’).

The Genie is an HS17-500 and the TV experiencing the jitter is connected using a Genie Mini 4k receiver.

Try a red button reset on both the HS17 as well as your 4K Genie Mini. If these are not your only two receivers, are you experiencing issues on other clients?

I did reset both the Genie and the 4k Mini Genie receiver. The jitter still continues. I do have three other TVs connected to this system using mini-receivers, and have not noticed the jitter on any of those TVs. However, I must add that the TV connected to the 4k Mini receiver, where I notice the jitter, is most often tuned to the same channel; I don't know if the jitter occurs on all channels of that one TV. Will check.

OK. Also, please check if the jittering occurs with DVR recordings. And, as you alluded to, it is crucial to see if the jittering occurs on all channels for that 4K Genie Mini, or just one/a few.

The jitter has now been seen on the 4k Mini receiver TV playing back a DVR recording from the HS17 Genie.

The video jitter is almost exclusively seen on one channel on the one TV connected to the 4k Mini Genie, whether watched "live", or recorded using the Genie 2 DVR function. Since that one channel is selected by the 4k Mini Genie, I suspect the jitter is caused by that that 4k Mini Receiver, and I will reset it again.

To reset the 4k Mini Receiver, I had just pressed the red button on that receiver and let it automatically go through it's programmed steps. Is it necessary to also disconnect the power to that receiver for 15 seconds?
