Unable to Watch "Purchased" Movie
I have a movie listed in my purchases. In the info it tells me In the movie's nformation
it tells me "This pay per view was purchased on Friday oct 16.
It will play for 5 minutes then it 'preparing for playback.'
After 5 minutes or so the screen changes to an error screen telling me the purchase cannot
be confirmed.
Error code: 926
I had a tech come out today and he claims the only thing is to change out the receiver. I
would then lose all purchases and recordings.
I don't get it. It tells me I purchased it, then it tells me it can't confirm the purchase' but it won't let
me delete it from the Purchase list.
This movie is not on my bill for that month.
Anyway to delete this from the purchase list???

Hi James. We know an unexpected error while enjoying Pay Per View service is not the ideal situation. In this case, items in Purchase History can be viewed, but cannot be deleted. We will send you a DM to confirm the purchase information in your bill. Laura, DIRECTV Community Specialist

I've checked my bill for that time and it isn't there.
So, I wont's be able to watch this movie. I can't purchase it because it thinks I already have.

This usually means you have downloaded a movie to watch but when it comes to paying for the movie there's something wrong with your account so it does not happen. This often occurs when the system thinks you have reached yourcredit limit. Have you tried to watch other movies? Is your receiver connected to the internet?

The tech person told me tonight that the ENTIRE system for DIRECTV PPV 2 day rental is broken? Apparently it’s impossible to press a button and set up the movie rental on my account for me tonight. I have done this before- I’ve had to call because I don’t have internet. I was on the phone for an hour and getting transferred- I figured out it’s just so Directtv can charge me $5 each time I have to talk to someone to fix a problem that I did not create. The screen and the app says it’s easy- just text the title of the movie to 223322 but when I do, I get a message to call customer service and a link that sends me back to the place where I started which tells me to text the title. It’s a circular mess.
it should not take 3 representatives and tech support to get an on demand movie that is available. It’s on the channel as available- but because I don’t have internet, when I click “rent now” the phone number pops up - can’t compete the transaction.
if you all can’t compete the transaction either then why put the number up to call. If your app says Text the title- it should work.
I don’t have internet but you all should and desperately need employee training so that customer service can know how to complete this simple transaction. I’ve done this in the past- no problem. I call, it’s done and the movie starts - the end.
why wouldn’t all employees get a flagged email that your system is down so as to not waste everyone’s time? The representatives could see my account easily and see I have auto pay and I’m up to date but can’t figure out how to order a movie for anyone without internet service?
I only have directtv because I don’t have internet service where I live and I can’t use AT&T, only Verizon. If I had internet I would have no need for Directtv - I could just use any app.
it seems that directtv has a serious service problem. However, I do get phone calls all day at work from representatives trying to sell me movie packages. It seems that they know how to plug movie packages into the system but not on demand movies. I should ask for $5 back off my bill every time I get a random sales phone call at work from every representative trying to connect me to movies that I don’t ask for.
I suggest you clean up your app and make it easier to text a movie title to 223322 and order it or remove the message that claims it’s possible- that is false advertising and it’s a scam to get $5 out of people who have no choice but to call since it doesn’t work. Maybe your ChatBot system is broken. I even tried using the automated system where I say the title and then it asks if I want HD or standard and it shuts down right there to send me to a representative - it’s impossible to complete the transaction without getting sent to someone to collect $5. If that is how you pay your employees and your company has it set up that way on purpose then shame on you.

@buffyamy on demand and ppv are 2 different things. On demand Requires internet which you don't have so you have to order a ppv title not an on demand title, what "channel number" are you trying to order?
