Tech support/cable line cut from satellite dish

My yard was being aerated and the cable line was either cut or clipped because the tv immediately went out with a 775 code. The yardman indicated the line was not buried deep enough and i cant get a hold of ATT/DirectTV to have some one come out to fix it.

The only way to schedule a service visit is to call them. But their call centers are currently swamped.

This might be something you can fix yourself. Go to Lowes or Home Depot and buy two RG6 coax cable connectors, a coax cable coupler, and silicone sealant. Install the coax cable connectors on each end of the cut cable then join them with the coupler. Verify that your DirecTV is now working properly. Then seal the cable connections and coupler with a generous amount of silicone sealant. Allow to dry and re-bury the cable.
