Sign in error with DirecTV App on Android TV
I am getting a sign in error when trying to login to the DirectTV app on my 3 Android TV devices. I do not get an error when I use my android phone (Login successful) or when accessing my account via a browser.
Error Message:
Incorrect User ID and Password. Please login with a valid DirecTV Stream User ID and Password. [Code: 0017]
Notes:
- I am subscribed to DirecTV Satellite
- Version of Direct TV app on Android TV is 5.0.55.
- Android TV devices are Chromecast w Google TV, Nvidia Shield and Tivo Stream4k
- All devices are fully updated
- Tried on home WiFi and Phone hotspot

You need to go to one of their social media pages to send them a PM, If they send you a PM/DM a box with lines in appears at the top of this page near the bell icon.

Thank you... when i clicked from my email, I wasn't logged in so didn't noticed there was a message. Logged in and went that route. Thanks

Please try again to log in to the account but make sure you’re logged out, including clearing any TV Provider or single sign-on settings, uninstall then reinstall the app and try again. Let us know how it goes. Daniela, DIRECTV Community Specialist

Was this issue resolved? I'm having the exact same problem: cannot login on my Android TV device (NVIDIA Shield), but can login on other devices (Roku, browser).

It was resolved as a DirecTV rep updated something on my account that fixed the issue permanently
