screen saver on startup

This can also happen with weak satellite signals.

We're glad that it turns off when you activate the remote. The SignalSaver feature is automatically enabled once the system detects weather-related signal issues. ok. evidentially no one understand what is the issue. This happens daily, after the tv - not receiver - has been off overnight.

The receiver has never been set to automatically Switch.

Thanks for clarifying that. The screen saver displays when an OSD, menu, or channel (including music channels) displays or pauses with no activity for 30+ seconds, DVR video or live TV on a DVR is paused for 30+ seconds, and when DVR is inactive for more than 2 hours even when the TV is off. You can return to programming and clear the screen saver by pressing any remote or receiver key except Power. To disable this feature, press the dash (-) key, however, it's recommended not to disable Screen Saver mode as this can help prevent screen burn on a TV. 

Very strange, the screen saver shouldn't be coming on at all unless the DVR is paused for a period of time and on 2 TVs.  Just to make sure you have done a red button reset on both?
